Essentially two of the main cornerstones of the GDPR are us to let you know and get your permission whenever we collect your personal indentifiable information from you while you are interacting with our website.

In case our website collects any personal identifiable information from you we have a mechanism in place so if you request us a portable data format of all of the information we have on you, we will provide it to you immediatly.

We also have a very fast way of deleting all of the information that we have on you in case we have any.

Who we are?

What personal data we collect and why we collect it?
Unless something changes in the future we do not really collect much personal information because we simply do not need it for you to use our website (Contact form is the exception. Read more below).

Comments?
Currently, we do not permit any comments on our website.
If this changes in the future for some reason, when visitors leave comments on Scrap My car Company Website we will collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.
After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media?
Currently, we do not allow you to upload any media files to our website.
If this changes in the future and if you upload images to our website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included.
Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms?
Here's the only exception when it comes to temporary saving your personal info!
We do collect any data that you might fill out in our form. We do not store any of this data in any kind of database or anything. After you send us a message using our contact form we will receive an email with your data. That's all. We will use that information to contact you back regarding your message. We don't share this data with any third party at all. Often we delete some old emails received from the website users and after we delete them there will not be any other way to access these emails anymore.

Anytime we decide so we will not delete any emails from you. One of the reasons for this to might happen is due to legal obligations regarding our line of business. We need to keep records of our salvage car deals for instance.

Cookies?
If you leave a comment on our site (in case we start accepting them in the future) you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies.
These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

By definition, nobody!
Although we might need to share some of your data with our employees and business partners in order to close the deals.
When/If required by the law and/or the Government we will share our data on you if it's really mandatory and necessary.

How long we retain your data?
By definition, we don't store most of your data for too long unless specific laws require otherwise.

In case we start accepting comments or provide you with an account the below info applies:
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
