In September we saw prices stay pretty level, only decreasing by a tiny 1.2% from August.
Now in October, prices have started to climb again, taiking the average scrap car price higher than any other month.
Average Scrap Car Price October 2022
The average scrap car price in October 2022 was £312. This was a 4% increase compared to average scrap prices in September 2022.
Comparing these figures to October 2021, scrap car prices have risen roughly 38% year on year. That’s a massive reason to scrap your vehicle right now and cash in at the highest prices.
It’s unknown whether these prices will remain into November, but based on recent reports, it looks very possible.

Top 5 Cars Scrapped in October 2022
In October 2022 the most common car we scrapped was the Ford Fiesta, follwed by Vauxhall Zafira and in third place was the Ford Focus. In 4th place was the Ford Mondeo and fifth place was the Vauxhall Corsa.
Although not the car that received the biggest payout, the most popular scrap car was the Ford Fiesta, which got an average price of £310.
